Popular anime YouTuber and Trash Taste host Gigguk is stepping into the industry spotlight with his own original anime short, Bâan – The Boundaries of Adulthood.
Announced at Anime Expo 2025, Bâan is being produced as part of GeeXProductions, a new creator-led animation label launched by GeeXPlus, the agency behind Trash Taste. The anime is an isekai (other world) story that explores Southeast Asian mythology, identity, and adulthood.
Gigguk, real name Garnt Maneetapho, serves as the original creator and is deeply involved in the project’s creative direction. The story follows two Japanese characters, Rin and Daichi, as they pass through a warp gate into the world of Euthania, a land rich in nature and magical races based on Southeast Asian folklore.

Studio Daisy is handling animation, with direction by Yoshimitsu Ohashi (Code Geass: Roze of the Recapture) and music by Kevin Penkin, the composer of Made in Abyss. The Japanese cast includes Haruna Mikawa, who is best known for voicing Sung Jin‑Ah (a.k.a. Aoi Mizushino) in the anime Solo Leveling.
Shoya Ishige is also joining the VA team, with his most recognizable role being Wakana Gojo in My Dress‑Up Darling. Meanwhile, the English dub features Sydney Poniewaz (Sydsnap), Gigguk’s wife and fellow YouTuber, as the voice of Rin.
Bâan will premiere in Japan on August 24, 2025, and then be released globally on Gigguk’s YouTube channel for free later this year. GeeXProductions also revealed two other creator-led projects: Soul Mart, an anime from DillonGoo based on his original webcomic, and Otachan! Rabbit Season by OtakuVS.
