Genshin Impact banner schedule: What’s the next & current banner in 2025?

Thanks to the rotating banners in Genshin Impact, you can regularly pull for new characters. Here are all the details you need about the current and upcoming banners in the free-to-play gacha.

Banners allow Travelers to obtain new characters and try out different team comps. Like most gacha games, these regularly change, impacting pick rates and the all-important tier list.

If you’re looking to spend your hard-earned Primogems on the current version 5.5 and upcoming 5.6 banners, then we’ve got everything you need to know about them right here.

Updated April 25, 2025, to add version 5.6 banner details.

What is the current Genshin Impact banner?

The Genshin Impact 5.5 Phase 2 banners see the return of the 5-star Geo Sword user, Xilonen. You can roll for her on the Forgefire’s Blessing banner.

The second character to make their long-awaited return is the 5-star Anemo character Venti, who can be unlocked by rolling on the Ballad in Goblets banner.

Both banners include the following 4-stars:

  • Beidou (Electro)
  • Faruzan (Anemo)
  • Yanfei (Pyro)

When does the current Genshin Impact banner end?

The Phase 2 banners will end on May 6, 2025, which means Travelers still have time to save up Primogems and spend them on their banners.

We’ll update this section should HoYoverse extend the date further.

Genshin Impact weapon banner

The Genshin Impact weapon banner is the Epitome Invocation. The 5.5 Phase 2 banner includes the following weapon rate-ups:

5-star weapons

  • Elegy for the End (Bow)
  • Peak Patrol Song (Sword)

4-star weapons

  • The Bell (Claymore)
  • Sacrificial Sword (Sword)
  • Favonius Codex (Catalyst)
  • Favonius Lance (Polearm)
  • Favonius Warbow (Bow)

The weapon banner will also end on May 6, 2025, so players will have plenty of time to obtain the new set of weapons.

Next banners

As revealed during the 5.6 livestream, Phase 1 of the update will include the 5-star Cryo unit, Escoffier, and the 5-star Geo unit, Navia. The new 4-star character, Ifa, will also join both characters in Phase 1.

Phase 2 of the 5.6 update will see the return of Kinich and Raiden Shogun, plus the Chronicled Wish banner will also appear. This banner allows Travelers to choose a 5-star character and weapon as their designated Wish.

As soon as we have information about the 4-star character rate ups for each of the 5.6 banners, we’ll update this page.
