Fresh GTA 6 screenshot reveals just how huge Vice City map really is

Grand Theft Auto 6 fans have been given a better look at some parts of the GTA 6 landscape after mappers cleaned up some of the screenshots and trailer snapshots.

At the start of May, Rockstar Games delivered a blow of epic proportions to GTA fans, announcing that Grand Theft Auto 6’s release would be delayed until May 26, 2026.

However, that announcement was quickly followed by some better news. The GTA developers released the long-awaited second trailer, as well as almost 100 new screenshots of the game. Naturally, fans have been digging through them, looking for any secrets and easter eggs that may be hidden.

The fresh details have also been a boost for the mapping project community, as they still try and plot out the full size of the GTA 6 map before release. And, they’ve managed to reveal a bit more of the game’s landscape.

GTA 6 screenshots cleared up for better look at map

Using one of the screenshots for Leonida Keys, they’ve found a bunch of new buildings in the background after clearing up the fog around it.

To the west, there appears to be a control tower for an airport, as well as a lot more homes, while the east still has some partial cover from the fog. Yet, the eastern side of things is more industrial-looking than anywhere else we’ve really seen to this point.

Additionally, the cleared up screenshots show the actual distance between the Keys and Vice City itself, with a potential canal system in the southern part of Vice City.

“So happy this proves that the mainland VC isn’t just skyscrapers and then just nothingness/everglades. There’s actual smaller buildings the what looks to be rooftops of homes on the west side of the freeway giving density and a feeling of a real city,” one fan said.

“We are so far away from the city that the buildings in south beach are almost disappearing from view. This map is huge,” another added. “This is a good indicator of just how huge the world will be compared to GTA5. Wow,” commented another impressed fan.
