Fortnite streamer Chica reveals footage of hammer-wielding thieves breaking into her house

Popular Fortnite and Twitch streamer Chica has shared footage of a group of thieves breaking into her home, armed with a hammer, as they attempted to steal her cars.

Chica has built a massive following across multiple platforms, boasting over 2.4 million followers on Twitch, 7 million on TikTok, and even more across her social channels.

According to the CHCH report posted by the streamer on Twitter/X on March 14, Chica was in her streaming room when she heard a loud noise, which turned out to be a group of thieves breaking into her house in Ontario, Canada.

“It happened just after two this morning, and although nothing extremely valuable was stolen, the home owner tells me that it was an extremely traumatizing experience,” the reporter said.

They revealed footage of an armed robber breaking the glass of Chica’s front door of her home with a hammer as five masked men entered the property and tried to steal her cars.

“‘Give us the keys,’ At first I was like “I don’t know where the keys are.” Then I just kind of put my hands up. Yeah, the guy did not like that, he started charging at me with a hammer.”

“When I told him I didn’t know where they was and he started charging at me, I’m like ‘How hard am I going to get hit right now,’ thats my thought right now i’m like ‘I’m going to end up in the hospital.’ Then when they took the keys I still stood there as I kind of froze.”

“The suspects left the house with keys to several high-end vehicles that were parked in the driveway. Now they were able to get inside these vehicles, but they actually weren’t able to start them. That’s because all of the cars had secondary theft prevention measures in place,” the CHCH presenter continued.

Chica added, “I’m still processing it. And I think it’s going to take time to still process it and maybe leave the area for a little bit. I think that’s best.”

The streamer posted a TikTok on March 14, titled “Help me identify this guy,” as she explained what happened.

“I was in my streaming room and I just heard a big bang. I thought Alyssa [her partner] must have dropped a bowl. I’m asking her ‘Are you okay?’. She’s not answering because she knew what was happening so she went and hid in the room, locked the door, and started callling 911.

“I went outside my streaming room then there was like five of them. As soon as they see me they are like ‘Where’s the keys?’. Once they found the keys because I told them where they were, they got out of the house, I started calling 911 and telling them. Even though they have the keys for the cars I know they can’t steal them.”

“Yeah I can’t give you the keys, y’all have to hack it,” one of the thieves can be heard saying as they accessed the orange car while being filmed on her driveway’s outside camera.

“So in my head I am like, they’re going to comeback and I literally was crying and shaking and i’m like ‘Please you need to come here before they realize that they cannot take those cars.’ Three of them ran and got in a vehicle, and they left two behind,” she said. The footage showed a car driving past.

The Twitch streamer ended by saying, “I want to know if we can identify this guy. You can pretty much see his face, he has two tattoos, extremely nervous like this was his first time. I swear someone has to know this man.”

At the time of writing, nobody has been arrested for the incident, and there are no known suspects reported.

This comes amid a wave of violent attacks on creators in March 2025. On March 2, Amouranth was targeted in an armed home invasion, where masked gunmen broke into her house, demanding access to her cryptocurrency. Four teenagers have since been arrested and charged following the incident.

That same day, Twitch stars Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru were threatened and chased by a man while IRL streaming at Santa Monica Pier. Days later, Japanese streamer Airi Sato was stabbed to death by a man claiming she owed him money.

The FBI has also promised to crack down on swatting via a statement on March 14 highlighting the “rise in ‘Swatting’ incidents.” Various Twitch streamers, including Amouranth, have since praised them for their actions.
