Fortnite players have been left furious over a brand-new skin bundle released alongside the launch of Chapter 6 Season 2, with many claiming its V-Bucks price is too “expensive.”
The Lawless season update has added various Outfits and cosmetics, including a jam-packed Battle Pass for this season featuring seven skins, including Mortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero.
However, it is the Best In Show skin bundle that’s available to purchase from the in-game Item Shop that has come under fire. “I think that the pricing of the new dog skins is horrendous,” a player posted to the FortniteBR Reddit.
They continued, “Four skins with recolored bodies and different heads for 1200 each, four Back Blings that are all recolors for an extra 200 each, and four Pickaxes that are all recolors for 500 each, or you can buy everything in a 3500 bundle or about 30 dollars.
“Which I think is absolutely egregious for four versions of the same exact skin, give them an inch with the bird skins and separate Back Blings and they take a mile,” they added.
This refers to the similar Birds of a Feather bundle, which featured bird skins instead of dogs. That bundle, priced at 2,600 V-Bucks, included three bird Outfits, three Back Blings, and one Pickaxe. The new skin pack costs an extra 900 V-Bucks for additional skin and Back Bling, plus three more Pickaxes.
However, on their own, the bird skins from Chapter 5 Season 1 were priced the same as the Chapter 6 Season 2 skins—1,200 V-Bucks per piece.

“We literally just got Doughberman and Boss Koji for 800 V-Bucks, these have no excuse being 1200 V-Bucks.” a player said.
One replied, “Same. I got Koji and his set for 1200. Why the heck are each of these 1200 each with no other cosmetics? I wanted the Doberman but I’ll just pass now.”
“3500 V-Bucks for four ‘very similar’ dogs, four literally identical recolored Back Blings, and four literally identical recolored Pickaxes is highway f**king robbery,” a fan stated.
Another added: “There is a lot more that’s horrendous with these guys than just the pricing. I agree with you on all your points about the price, but they all just look terrible too.”
