Fortnite players are already bored with “half-baked” Chapter 6 Season 2 content

Fortnite players have already claimed they’re burnt out with Chapter 6, Season 2 even though the season has only been around for less than a month.
Anticipating a new Fortnite chapter or season and not knowing exactly what will be changed is always an exciting feeling among fans.
That was initially the case before Chapter 6, Season 2 started with Epic dropping hints about a heist-theme season before the big reveal.
A heist-themed season isn’t exactly new, but many players were still enthusiastic regardless. Now that almost a month has passed since the season went live, however, players have claimed they’re already bored with Chapter 6, Season 2’s content.
Fortnite players convinced Chapter 6 Season 2 feels “undercooked”
As many have pointed out in a Reddit thread, their main gripe with Season 2 is related to how “small” it feels. Location-wise, not a lot has changed on the map compared to previous chapters and seasons.
It also doesn’t help that the new POIs, such as Crime City, Shiny Shafts, Outlaw Oasis, and Lonewolf Lair, are all lumped together on the island, making it feel like the new content is mostly concentrated in one area instead of spread all over the map.
Many players have also found Crime City to be generally underwhelming. One user pointed out that they thought it would be “massive” from the season teasers, but it ended up feeling “so tiny.”
“Not to mention confusing. Also, I kinda wish we had something massive to look forward to. Like the Godzilla collab. This entire season feels a little undercooked.”
Some players have also mentioned that the current season lacks “small weekly map changes”, which they think add to the personality and “make the map feel more alive.”
Meanwhile, others admitted they’re not a fan of this season’s mechanics. “Been my least played season so far. Still enjoy FN, but this one’s gimmick feels half-baked,” wrote one user, before pointing out that raiding a vault takes so much effort and risk, just for the Dill Bits you’d get to spend “for a small advantage.”
And that’s assuming you don’t die to a camper. “Yeah… nah. Everything clustered in the same corner makes it hard to do the quests. And we seem to have abandoned the story already,” they added.
It’s worth noting that Chapter 6, Season 2 still has a while before it ends, so players can expect more new things to be added along the way, as seen in the leaked schedule.
