Fortnite’s next v34.30 update is just around the corner, and it’s going to bring a new Festival season, alongside other content to the game.
Fortnite is known to roll out sizeable content updates throughout every given season. In Chapter 6, Season 2 alone, devs have added new Mortal Kombat mythics, POIs, and a plethora of different collabs, among other exciting additions.
There have also been several free rewards distributed throughout this season, such as the free Dupli-Kate skin and Twitch Drops, allowing you to earn Mortal Kombat freebies.
While the next 34.30 update in Chapter 6 Season 2 isn’t live yet at the time of writing, there are already several exciting additions players can expect to arrive in the game soon. We’ve compiled all of them below.
Fortnite update v34.30 downtime details
Fortnite’s 34.30 update is expected to drop on April 8, 2025, at 2.30 am PDT.
As per usual, players can expect matchmaking to end before maintenance. It’s unclear how long this will take, but it will likely take a few hours.
You won’t be able to launch and play the game during this time. However, you’ll still be able to download the update while you wait.
Festival Season 8 launches
Hatsune Miku‘s Festival season will be over once this update goes live. For a while now, there’s been a rumor about Sabrina Carpenter being the next featured artist in this mode – apparently, as teased by the official Festival account on X, this is really going to be the case.
A new season means that there’ll be a new Festival Battle Pass filled with new cosmetics, including instruments, emotes, Jam Tracks, and others. It’s worth noting that you’ll instantly get access to the majority of these rewards if you’re subscribed to Fortnite Crew when the season goes live.
Sabrina Carpenter skins
Looking back at previous artists featured in Festival, Sabrina Carpenter is expected to receive two different skins. One is the one you’ll be able to unlock in the Festival Pass, while the other is a separate outfit that will be sold in the Item Shop.
Epic has yet to reveal her in-game look as of this writing. However, after the teaser was released, some fans on social media are convinced one of it is going to be her Light Blue dress. We’ll be sure to keep this section updated once there’s more official information.
Adventure Time collab
Though plenty of leaked collabs exist, well-known leaker ShiinaBR claimed that this upcoming update would bring Adventure Time characters to the game. Some of the characters that will be getting their own skins are Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum, and Marceline.
Assuming this is accurate, it’s possible that these would come with additional cosmetics based on the popular cartoon.
New Ballistic map
Ballistic, a first-person game mode separate from the Battle Royale experience, is set to get a new map alongside this update called Hammer Fall. Unlike Skyline, this map will feature a “medieval flavor” with castles you can use to your advantage as you play corners and take cover.
According to Epic in a blog post, this will first be a “shell map”, meaning it will arrive in the game mode “without environmental art.” They explained that this would allow them to change the layout quickly based on players’ feedback.
Meanwhile, the “environmental details and finishing touches” will come later once they test how the games “flow and play out” on the map.
That’s everything we know about Fortnite’s 34.30 update and all the new content. While here, check out the best weapons and medallions and how to find the secret vault.
