Diver recovers 115-year-old wedding ring from massive Texas lake

A woman who lost her 115-year-old wedding ring in a gigantic Texas lake was reunited with her jewelry thanks to the tireless efforts of a local dive and rescue business.
Replying to a June 24 Facebook post from Blue Diver Search and Recovery sharing a picture of the once-lost ring, its owner, Jack O’Lynn Page, shared how she lost the ring, created in 1910.
“Over the weekend, we went to Possum Kingdom Lake with our baseball crew! Anyone who knows me knows I don’t like being in the lake… but we were with our friends & truly having a blast,” Page said, adding, “Until I realized my wedding ring was gone from my finger!
Page described how numerous baseball team members tried in vain to recover the ring, to no avail, prompting a parent of one of the children to seek help from a professional diver.

The unfortunate incident happened at Possum Kingdom Lake, a man-made Texas reservoir that has a shore length of over 300 miles and reaches up to 100 feet deep. Despite recovery being akin to a needle-in-a-haystack situation, one diver promised Page he “would do everything he could to find it.”
“Ryan Prigmore with Blue Diver Search and Recovery came that day!” Page continued. “He searched for a few hours, but the weather & water conditions that afternoon were making the search very difficult.”
Returning on the following Monday, Prigmore eventually managed to retrieve the ring after a full day of searching, sending a picture of the ring once more above water, where it belonged.
