Diablo 4 patch 2.1.3 finally buffs D4’s worst shrine & it might be OP now

Diablo 4 players frustrated with the Conduit Shrine will finally receive the adjustments they seek when Blizzard deploys Update 2.1.3.
Players can find Shrines scattered around the world of Sanctuary, though they most often appear in dungeons to provide temporary buffs such as stat boosts.
Conduit Shrines, in particular, allow users to deal shock damage to enemies. It also imbues players with a surge of energy that lets them teleport short distances, all while blasting through foes at lightning speeds.
However, Conduit is far from perfect due to long-running issues that have caused the community to spend months calling for improvements or its removal.
In Torment difficulty tiers, higher-level Diablo 4 users have found the Shrine useless since it severely hinders gameplay and makes even the weakest mobs tough to kill.
Diablo 4 update to finally buff the Conduit Shrine
The patch notes for D4 2.1.3 detail one major change that will impact how Conduit Shrines interact with player levels. As written in the notes, “the damage of Conduit Shrines has been adjusted to aggressively scale with player level and Paragon level.”
Blizzard added that “the average increase in damage from Conduit Shrines has increased by approximately 37x in Torment III,” as an example of just how substantial these buffs are.
Ahead of the patch’s release, many community members have expressed their thanks for the change. One Diablo 4 fan in a Reddit thread commented, “Yeah, Conduit Shrines have not only not been a buff, but a straight-up hindrance. It’s good to see they’re finally doing something about that.”
Another person cheered, “Good, they shouldn’t be worthless anymore.”
However, skepticism fills another thread in the subreddit, with players recalling how previous fixes didn’t exactly address their issues with Conduit Shrines.
“They said they fixed it last time and they failed. We’ll see what happens this time,” reads one such remark.
Meanwhile, others believe the Shrine’s troubles run deeper than damage buffs. “Fixing the tuning is great, but it is a badly designed mechanic at a fundamental level… People want to play their build, not sparkly teleport ball.”
Players will see for themselves how well Blizzard implements the new changes once the 2.1.3 patch arrives on Tuesday, March 4.
