Dead by Daylight’s new Killer looks absolutely busted and that’s a good thing

Dead by Daylight’s new Killer isn’t just a must-have for Tokyo Ghoul fans, but he’s got a deadly kit that will make even the most stalwart Survivors scream.

On March 11, 2025, DbD revealed that the Tokyo Ghoul’s bloodthirsty anime boy, Ken Kaneki, will be wreaking havoc in a frightening new collab. While this half-human, half-ghoul hybrid won’t be released until April 2, his kit looks devilishly good and is one that Killer fans will most definitely want to put on their radar.

Part of what makes The Ghoul so frighteningly fun to play is his fleshy tentacles, which allow Ken to leap toward his terrified prey at speed. Think of Kagune Leap as Attack on Titan’s ODM gear, but instead of having a grappling hook to propel you through the air, you have a pair of slimy tentacles.

DbD’s new Killer set to leave a bloody mark

DbD’s new Killer has an insane amount of mobility.

Latching onto nearby objects and getting the drop on your unsuspecting victim is as fun as it sounds, especially when you manage to land your second Kagune Leap on a Survivor. This will see you plunge your tentacle into their flesh, marking them with a Deep Wound and leaving a Kagune Mark.

This will also enable The Ghoul to enter Enraged Mode, which gives you up to three consecutive leaps. While it’s still early days to tell where The Ghoul will place in the DbD Killer tier list, Ken’s mobility means he has the potential to be ludicrously strong. When Enraged Mode is triggered, you’ll be zipping through the map like a blood-thirsty Spider-Man who’s tired of J. Jonah Jameson’s nonsense.

After all, part of what makes playing a Killer so tricky in DbD is catching your victims. It’s as if you’re the one kid that turned up at the birthday party uninvited. However, Ken Kaneki flips this age-old Killer problem on its head and dives head first into the birthday cake. He’s here whether you like him or not, and he has all the tools to chase you down.

DbD’s new Killer has some extremely brutal attacks.

Well, that’s if he doesn’t accidentally latch onto a tree or an inconveniently placed barrel with his tentacle. Who would have thought Ken Kaneki’s biggest enemy would be inanimate objects?

Teething troubles behind, DbD’s new Killer has one of the bloodiest Mori’s I’ve ever seen, and is sure to turn the stomachs. If you do manage to chase down your frightened foe, then you’ll be able to use one of THE most brutal finishers in the game.

The Ghoul’s Mori sees the fiendish half-human effortlessly pick up his helpless Survivor, plunging his tentacles into their chest and then leaping onto them to consume their flesh. It’s so over the top that it gives Mortal Kombat a run for its money.

Whether you’re a Tokyo Ghoul fan or just looking for a new Killer to add to your arsenal, then The Ghoul is ready to make a bloody splash when he leaps into Dead by Daylight on April 2, 2025.
