The Cambridge Audio MXW70 was designed by the British brand as the ideal companion for its MXN10 music streamer, forming a half-width, high-performance, hi-fidelity system that fits seamlessly into any space and can be fully controlled from the StreamMagic app.

Since the introduction of the groundbreaking P40 amplifier in 1968, Cambridge Audio has crafted iconic sound in the UK – and the new MXW70 is no exception. Driven by Hypex NCORE Class-D amplifier technology and carefully tuned by Cambridge’s expert audio engineers, the MXW70 is capable of driving even the most demanding speakers without the bulk of traditional power amplifiers.

The MXW70 features both RCA stereo and studio-quality XLR inputs, giving flexibility in how it integrates into any home or office audio system. Standard 4mm banana plug sockets with binding posts make it easy to connect any type of speaker. And thanks to its 12V trigger input and pass-through, the MXW70 also simplifies day-to-day use by enabling automatic power switching for connected devices. A USB adapter cable is supplied for auto power on/off when using the MXN10 as a digital pre-amp – allowing the use of the StreamMagic app to remotely turn the streamer and the MXW70 on at the same time.

Extending the half-width audio experience even further, the MXW70 can also be partnered with the award-winning DacMagic 200M DAC from Cambridge Audio to result in a compact home system with a physical volume knob, a range of digital inputs, and a high-resolution headphone output. However, with its compact, discreet design, the MXW70 can be slotted into almost any setup – even with one MXW70 used in mono mode for each channel of a home cinema system.

The premium, all-metal casework creates a minimalist, timeless design that’s flawlessly finished in Cambridge’s trademark Lunar Grey to match the finish of the MXN10 music streamer and DacMagic 200M DAC. The Cambridge Audio MXW70 will be available in Summer 2025, priced at $599/€599.
