BioLite Launches Updated BaseCharge+ Models: Perfect for Photographers and Videographers

BioLite, has announced significant updates to its popular mobile power station lineup with the BaseCharge 600+ and 1500+ models. These new models maintain the compact footprint, port facings, and wireless charging features of their predecessors but now boast a recharging speed up to four times faster and are available at a more competitive price point.

Originally optimised for rapid recharging from solar, the new BaseCharge+ models now enable quick recharging from both solar and wall outlets, refilling in under three hours thanks to the included high-capacity wall-charging cord. The BaseCharge 600+ also features an enhanced solar input, allowing for the addition of a second 100W panel, ideal for photographers and videographers needing reliable off-grid power during shoots.

The BaseCharge+ units combine user-friendly design with lighter battery chemistry, making them up to 19 pounds lighter than comparable models. They can be fully charged and discharged twice weekly for over ten years without loss of efficiency, offering a durable and long-lasting power solution. With AC/DC charging options, these units can power larger appliances like electric coolers, CPAP machines, or TVs, as well as personal devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The convenient wireless charging deck also makes it easy to keep high-use phones charged without the hassle of cords.

Built to last, BioLite’s BaseCharge+ models have undergone rigorous safety testing, including battery cell selection, extreme temperature testing, vibration testing, and drop testing, ensuring they are safe for home use and tough enough for any adventure.

“We listened to customer feedback and designed an affordable and faster solution without sacrificing quality,” said Erica Rosen, Global VP of Marketing at BioLite. “Portable design, multiple charging ports, easy-to-use, it’s all there – but now it can keep up even faster with the quick pace of modern life and the essential devices needed to stay powered at all times.”

With the fall camping season and potential grid outages approaching, the BaseCharge+ models offer reliable, easy-to-use energy solutions. The BaseCharge 600+ is available for $599 and the BaseCharge 1500+ for $1299.
