Blending modern technology with a 1970s-inspired design, beyerdynamic’s latest wireless on-ear headphones offer a fresh take on lifestyle products. The new AVENTHO 100 headphones feature ANC, enhanced speech clarity, and premium materials in a foldable design with plenty of travel-ready features. The new product arrives fresh from the news of the acquisition of the century-old brand and inventor of the dynamic headphones by manufacturing powerhouse Cosonic.
The new beyerdynamic AVENTHO 100 wireless on-ear headphones are a very solid retro-style design with advanced engineering and travel-ready features, available in black, cream, and brown. Recognized for outstanding product design, the AVENTHO 100 headphones deliver a refined blend of form and function, featuring premium materials, a compact foldable build, and extended battery life. The new model is based on a Qualcomm platform and offers all the highly-desirable features that consumers expect from premium headphones, now on a more affordable on-ear design.
With premium Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) that enables distraction-free listening and Qualcomm cVc for crystal-clear calls, the AVENTHO 100 headphones are ideal for daily commutes and hybrid work environments. Plush, replaceable earpads and a lightweight, foldable build provide lasting comfort and durability, making it ideal for travel or daily use. Each pair also includes a 3.5 mm AUX cable, USB-C charging cable, and a soft carry bag for added convenience on the go.
“AVENTHO 100 reflects our continued commitment to craftsmanship, comfort, and cutting-edge sound,” says Andreas Rapp, CEO of beyerdynamic. “We set out to create a headphone that nods to classic design while delivering the performance and features today’s listeners expect – style, sound quality, and everyday versatility.”
With Bluetooth 5.4, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and AAC codecs for extended sound quality support, the AVENTHO 100 headphones also make multitasking effortless, seamlessly switching between devices. On-ear controls put calls and playback at the user’s fingertips, while a long-lasting battery delivers up to 60 hours of playtime (or 40 hours with ANC on) to keep up with extended use. A quick 15-minute charge delivers an impressive 15 hours of battery life.
Offering ANC and transparency modes on a closed-back, on-ear design is not easy to do, and the beyerdynamic design team made sure to fine-tune the response to different usage scenarios. Powered by high-performance 45mm drivers designed and developed in Germany, the AVENTHO 100 delivers a well-balanced sound profile in any of the modes.
Smart features like Google Fast Pair enable instant connection, while multipoint support allows seamless pairing with both smartphones and laptops. The beyerdynamic app enhances the experience further with adjustable ANC settings, firmware updates, and personalization tools designed to keep the headphones performing at their best.
The AVENTHO 100 on-ear headphones are available to purchase now for EUR €199 from beyerdynamic Europe, and will be available to purchase in Canada for $299.99 CAD later in July 2025. No availability is confirmed yet for the US due to unpredictability of Trump’s tariffs.
