Best Splitgate 2 PC settings for higher FPS

Timing is everything in Splitgate 2, so you’ll need to make sure you’ve got the highest FPS possible to improve your aim and reaction times.
The open beta is here, giving you a taste of the portal FPS action ahead of its full release. Portals offer up a ton of room for strategy, but you’ll need to be fast on your feet, and having low FPS or stuttering issues can make the game feel impossible.
To help you out, here are the best Splitgate 2 graphics settings to make sure the game is running as smoothly as possible.
Best Splitgate 2 beta PC graphics settings
General
Setting | Option |
---|---|
Screen Resolution | Your monitor’s resolution (e.g 2560×1440) |
Screen Mode | Fullscreen |
VSync | Off |
FPS Limit | Your monitor’s refresh rate |
Field of View | 103 |
It’s important you have VSync off, as it will cause input lag, so you’re much better off capping your FPS limit to your monitor’s refresh rate.
FOV is down to personal preference, but having it set to 103 will let you see more of your surroundings and increase your spatial awareness. Some games, like Call of Duty, let you crank your FOV all the way up to 120, which can look stretched and affect performance, but 103 (the max) is a happy middle ground.
Scalability
Setting | Option |
---|---|
View Distance Quality | High |
Post Processing Quality | Low |
Shadow Quality | Low |
Texture Quality | Medium |
Visual Effect Quality | Low |
Anti Aliasing Quality | Low |
Reflection Quality | Low |
Portal Frame Rate | High |
Portal Quality | High |
Splitgate 2 looks good even on low settings, but there are some settings you’ll want to turn up. It’s worth setting View Distance Quality to High, as it’ll make it easier to see far-off enemies.
Texture Quality isn’t too taxing, so Medium is a nice spot to keep the game looking good. Finally, you’ll actually want to turn Portal Frame Rate and Portal Quality up to High, as this means it’ll be easier to see and shoot enemies through Portals – a huge part of Splitgate 2.
Super Resolution
Setting | Option |
---|---|
Super Resolution Method | NVIDIA DLSS |
DLSS Super Resolution Preset | Transformer |
DLSS Super Resolution | Quality |
DLSS Sharpness | 0 |
NVIDIA DLSS will boost your framerate, so you’ll want to have that turned on with the Resolution set to Quality. However, if your PC is still finding the game difficult to run, then you can turn it down to Balanced or Performance.

Frame Generation
Setting | Option |
---|---|
Frame Generation Method | None |
Frame Generation gives you more FPS at the cost of input lag, which isn’t a worthwhile tradeoff. Even if you’re not getting as many frames as you’d like, it’s still better to leave this off.
Low Latency
Setting | Option |
---|---|
Low Latency Method | NVIDIA Reflex |
NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency | Boost |
To fight input lag, you should turn the NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency Method on to Boost. This will make sure the game reacts to your inputs as soon as you press them.
