Bam Margera confirmed for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remaster despite initial doubt

Bam Margera has been confirmed as a character in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remaster despite initially missing the deadline to be included in the game.
Announced back in March through a teaser inside Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Activision is set to release a remaster of the third and fourth Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games on July 11.
Players will be able to buy it on their favorite console, and it will be playable on Xbox Game Pass on the day it releases.
Fans of the series have anxiously awaited to hear about the list of skaters available in the remake, with many hoping Bam Margera would be in the game. On Friday, May 9, Activision confirmed the legendary athlete’s involvement in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remake.
“BAM. IS. BACK. We’re stoked to announce Bam Margera’s return to #THPS 3+4 as a Secret Skater in game,” they said in a post on X.
Bam Margera almost wasn’t in the game
Despite being confirmed to be a secret skater in the game now, Bam revealed back in April that he wasn’t sure it was going to happen.
He was stopped by a TMZ reporter, who brought up the rumor of him being added to the game.
“All I know is that I don’t know nothing because Tony Hawk has seen me be a professional pile of sh*t for many years,” Bam said. “When I visited him recently, he did not expect we’d be ollieing over each other on his vert ramp. I heard he made a call, and the deadline has already passed.”
He went on to explain that it would be easy to add him to the game because, since he’s already been in four other Tony Hawk releases, they have already done the work to build a model to show off his style. Bam also explicitly stated that it wasn’t confirmed whether or not he was going to be in the game.
The narrative has changed since then, of course, and fans of the celeb will be able to play as him once the game releases.
Outside of being one of the most long-lasting and iconic skaters in the industry, Bam gained popularity through shows like Viva La Bam and Jackass before he began suffering from drug addiction and substance abuse problems has he got older.
