Twitch streamer Asmongold was stunned after learning that a police officer was listening to one of his broadcasts during a traffic stop that turned into a far more dangerous situation.
Asmongold is one of Twitch’s most popular streamers, boasting a combined five million followers across his two channels who tune in for his political commentary and gameplay broadcasts.
However, it still baffles him to learn that certain people tune in to his streams — especially when those people are law enforcement officers on the job.
In late March 2025, Asmon was made aware of police bodycam footage circling the net that showed a law enforcement officer in Jacksonville, Florida, performing a traffic stop on March 12.
Asmongold is one of the most-watched streamers on Twitch as of March 2025.
After successfully pulling over a driver, the suspect — identified as 33-year-old Brandon Timothy White — began opening fire on the officer, hitting him in the foot.
Before White could pull out a modified rifle and exit his car to deal further damage, the officer shot the suspect, successfully incapacitating him. White was later transported to a hospital, where he died.

While the shootout itself was shocking, Asmongold was equally stunned to hear the officer listening to his broadcast during the deadly traffic stop before hopping out of his patrol vehicle to apprehend the driver-turned-shooter.
“No f**king way,” the streamer remarked. “They even put it on the official video! He’s probably watching right now. I hope he’s doing well.”
Asmongold went on to mention that he’s spoken to officers at the Austin Police Department in Austin, Texas, who said they were fans of his content.
“They’ve seen the stuff, they like the stream,” he said. “They’re normal. This is awesome. …I hope he gets better.”
Fellow streamer xQc also took notice of the bodycam footage, breaking out into laughter after watching a clip from the video during his own broadcast.
It’s not surprising that Asmongold is watched by all sorts of viewers, given that he’s currently Twitch’s most-watched streamer, accumulating over 5,032,178 hours watched by viewers as of March 13, 2025.
