Asmongold reveals injuries after “almost dying” falling through ceiling looking for dead animal
Twitch star Asmongold fell through his ceiling looking for the corpse of a dead animal that had died in his attic, resulting in several bloody scrapes and bruises.
On May 5, 2025, Asmongold posted a tweet revealing that he’d taken the day off from streaming to investigate the source of a stench in his attic, presuming it was a dead animal.
While he was navigating the space, he fell through the ceiling, sending a spray of debris onto the carpeted floor in the hallway below.
His post instantly went viral, sparking shocked and disgusted reactions from viewers across the net — and the next day, he returned to Twitch to show off his battle scars.
Asmongold says he’ll hire cleaning crew to clear out his home
On May 6, Asmon sat down to regale his fans with the tale of how he “almost died” looking for the supposed animal corpse in his attic, vehemently saying he would “never do that again.”
As a result of his accident, the streamer had received a number of bloody scrapes on his arms and legs, which he wrote off as “not a big deal” and refused to see a doctor to treat “a few cuts.”
“Yesterday, I got so lucky. …it happened so fast, I don’t even know how I reacted to it. The next thing I knew, I was holding onto the sides, and then I was standing on top of that. I was shocked, right? It took me about an hour to come down from that adrenaline high.”
That’s not all; while Asmongold had promised to clean out his house himself as “penance” in October 2024, he admitted that he would be hiring a cleaning service to clear out his home of rubbish and filth.
“I feel like such a b*tch saying this, but I have given up,” he said. “I have surrendered. We are actually going to get a cleaning team out, we’re gonna have somebody come out and look into whether it’s asbestos or not. We’re gonna do the whole thing.”
As for the dead animal, Asmon is convinced it was a raccoon that met its end underneath the deck in his back yard — not in his attic, as he’d previously believed. On top of that, the streamer also revealed that he saw a live rat chilling in his garage that same day.
This is far from the first time Asmon has gone viral for sharing the state of his living situation. He’s been open about living in abject filth over the years, sharing photos of his streaming room covered in fast food containers and even had a cockroach fly onto him during a broadcast.
