All X-Wing Starfighter & TIE Fighter Locations in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 goes full Star Wars, and this time, it’s not just about skins or lightsabers: you can actually fly X-Wing Starfighters and TIE Fighters.
These iconic ships aren’t just for show; they’re fully pilotable, armed with blasters, and ready for high-flying dogfights across the island. Whether you’re repping the Resistance or siding with the Empire, knowing where to find these ships and how to use them is key to ruling the skies.
This guide covers all known spawn points and flying tips so you can channel your inner pilot and blast your way to a Victory Royale.
All TIE Fighter locations
- Outpost Enclave (south-right corner of the map)
- Vader Samurai’s Solitude (bottom-left corner)
- South of Flooded Frogs
TIE Fighters appear primarily in Empire-controlled areas. They may spawn in working condition or show up at crash sites requiring repairs. Look for scattered fuel canisters around crashed TIEs to get them flight-ready.
How to fly the TIE Fighter
TIE Fighters are fast, heavily armed, and fun to pilot once you get the hang of the controls.
Approach the vehicle and interact to hop in. Use the throttle controls (W on keyboard or pushing the left stick up on a controller) to take off and gain altitude.
Turning and maneuvering is responsive, and using Free Look (right mouse button or L2) helps you scout while flying.
The ship is equipped with blasters that deal 60 damage per shot, which is fired using the left mouse button or R2. Pressing Shift (or clicking L3) activates a boost, giving you a burst of speed perfect for dodging or diving into combat.
TIE Fighters can carry two players: one pilot and one passenger clinging onto the top. They’ve got 1,300 HP, so they’re durable, but not invincible. Always land with care using the Land command (Q or R1), and exit using E or Square.
All X-Wing Locations
- Northeast of Resistance Base
- Outpost Enclave
- North of Brutal Boxcarts
- North of Shiny Shafts
X-Wings are found at Resistance-controlled outposts. These ships typically spawn reliably at their locations, but if you don’t find one there, chances are another player already took it.
How to fly the X-Wing
Flying an X-Wing is similar to piloting a TIE Fighter. Enter the ship and use Throttle Up to take off. X-Wings are slightly slower but more versatile for teams, with seating for four: one pilot and three passengers. Like the TIE, you can boost for speed, fire lasers with the primary weapon button, and land using the appropriate command. Just be careful when dismounting in the air as X-Wing exits don’t prevent fall damage.
May the Force (and your aim) be with you. Now that you’re airborne, you might want to check out the best landing spots and increase your alignment with certain communities.
