Aimee Lou Wood slams SNL’s “mean” White Lotus Season 3 sketch

White Lotus Season 3 star Aimee Lou Wood has clapped back at SNL’s impression of her, calling it “mean and unfunny.”
The White Lotus Season 3 has been one of the most talked-about TV shows of 2025, with viewers analysing every aspect of the show, from unforgivable mistakes to clever foreshadowing.
The series built to a nail-biting, feature-length finale that was something of a bloodbath, with some fan favorites surviving, while other beloved characters kicked the bucket.
The show became part of the cultural zeitgeist, culminating in SNL doing a spoof sketch featuring versions of the Trump family. But one joke was heavily criticized by both viewers and the gag’s victim.

The sketch in question is called ‘The White Potus,’ and turns the Ratliff family into the Trumps, with James Austin Johnson’s Donald Trump playing the part of Jason Isaac’s Timothy Ratliff.
As well as spoofing the first family, the sketch tackled the Rick and Chelsea storyline, with John Hamm’s Robert F Kennedy becoming Walton Goggins’ Rick, and Sarah Sherman doing Aimee Lou Wood’s Chelsea.
And it was the latter that came under fire, with Sherman donning fake teeth to impersonate the White Lotus star.
Taking to Instagram stories, Wood wrote: “Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple of weeks ago. Yes, take the piss for sure – that’s what the show is about – but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”
However, Wood added that she received thousands of messages of support over the sketch, and later revealed she received an apology from SNL.
