Umamusume fans want Skibidi Rizz in the game after real horse’s first win

A racehorse named Skibidi Rizz chose the perfect time to win their first race. The meme-worthy Kentucky-born horse has gone viral based on name alone, and people already want him in Umamusume.

With Umamusume: Pretty Derby having explosive popularity in the West now that it’s available without needing a Japanese account, interest in both the game and actual horse racing has risen drastically.

And, considering every Uma is based on an actual race horse, people who want new characters in the game have begun looking to real horses for inspiration.

Lo and behold, 3 year-old Skibidi Rizz has trotted up to plate, and people wanted him in the game almost immediately after hearing about his existence.

Umamusume fans already clamoring for Skibidi Rizz

The horse racing industry is a competitive one. Betting on these races gets serious, enough to fuel horse racing as an industry for literal centuries at this point.

Pretty much any horse you’d want to find has their own profile with an extensive history of how they were bred, where they were born, training performance, speed ratings across different types of ground and distances, and a lot more.

Skibidi Rizz is but a 3 year old horse, one with a relatively small pool of winnings that’s still running in the racing equivalent of minor league races. And, though he has potential to eventually grow into an elite race horse, his career is just getting started.

That said, Rizz’s best performance by far was an officially sanctioned race on July 15, 2025, where he was off to a massive lead from the get go. He stayed up front for pretty much the entire race, and, though he began to slow down a bit by the end, he still took the win by half a length.

Skibidi Rizz’s speed rating has been all over the place, and he’s come last in most of his trainings. He’s spent most of his career so far between 5th and 9th place, with this race being the first big bright spot in his career.

Considering the rich history behind so many race horses over the past few centuries, it isn’t likely that Skibidi Rizz is at the top of the table. But, if fans are passionate enough about getting the young horse in, who knows what could happen?

As news of Skibidi Rizz’s win has spread, fans want this horse in Umamusume just to see how wild the developers can get with the concept. After all, with a character like Gold Ship, who is an infamous troublemaker, being in the game, it’s clear that Cygames isn’t afraid to go off the rails a little when it comes to bringing these horses to life.
