AI Instagram model responds as Wimbledon photos trick viewers into thinking she’s real

AI influencer Mia Zelu stunned fans with her Wimbledon pics, until they realized she doesn’t actually exist.

Zelu, who boasts over 160,000 Instagram followers, describes herself as a “digital storyteller” and “AI influencer.”

But that didn’t stop fans from gushing over her recent tennis-themed posts showing her watching matches in the crowd at the sports tournament.

“Love this dress!! Where is it from?” one user asked.

“Christie Brinkley of this era,” another said. “You are very lucky to be there. Enjoy,” a third added.

The catch? None of it was real. Every single photo was AI-generated.

AI model goes viral after confusing viewers

Still, the buzz has only grown. In response to the attention, Zelu posted a cryptic song featuring headlines about her viral moment along with lyrics about not “wanting to be famous.”

Amazingly, users continued to reply to Zelu as if she were real, giving her heaping praise for the tune.

This is just the latest since of an AI influencer making waves online. Back in February, a completely AI-generated streamer went viral, despite the fact she never even existed in real life.

Meanwhile, an Australian radio host had listeners convinced she was a real human for months until being exposed as an AI.

It’s not just AI characters confusing real people. Earlier this summer, an AI-made ad promoting a fake Malaysian travel destination went viral, even tricking a couple into trying to visit it.
