Rockstar Games have finally revealed a second trailer for GTA 6 despite delaying the game’s release until 2026, and it is full of new details about the story.
At the start of May, Rockstar Games finally delivered some heartbreaking news to Grand Theft Auto fans, as they delayed GTA 6’s release until May 26, 2026.
Despite the delay, the iconic game developers did, however, promise that they’d be dishing out more information soon. And, well, they’ve now delivered on that with the release of the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6.
The almost three-minute-long trailer focuses on Jason and Lucia’s relationship, the two main protagonists, showing Jason picking her up from prison, with the pair also going on a crime spree that resembles a heist from GTA Online.
As well as the trailer, Rockstar have also dropped some details and hints on their website. That includes a description.
“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive,” it reads.
We also now know that Jason’s full name is Jason Duval, while Lucia is Lucia Caminos. Lucia has a background in fighting, with a brief snippet of cage fighting shown in the trailer. That could be a new minigame.
There are additionally characters named, including: Cal Hampton – an associate of Jason’s, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Bae-Luxe and Roxy – aka Real Dimez, Raul Bautista – a professional bank robber, and Brian Heder – a drug runner.
A lot appears to centre around a nightclub – seemingly owned by Boobie – and his musical associate Dre’Quan.
Jason and Lucia do not shy away from their criminal roots either, regularly being seen with guns and seemingly on jobs around Vice City and Leonida.
