Shroud explains simple trick for Marvel Rivals players to reach highest rank

Twitch streamer shroud has revealed one clever trick that high-ranked players use to be able to reach Top 500 in Marvel Rivals.

If Marvel Rivals isn’t your first competitive shooter game, then you’d already know the ranked experience isn’t exactly for the weak.

Sure, you’ll get good games where your teammates are amazing and everything feels like a breeze. But it’s no secret that there are times that you can also encounter one tricks who refuse to switch, cheaters, smurfs, and so much more, making the experience miserable.

Hence, to the majority of players, ranking up is a struggle. That said, streamer and former pro CS and Valorant pro, shroud, has revealed the one trick that some are abusing to get into higher ranks, including Top 500 or One Above All in Marvel Rivals.

When looking at the list of high-ranked players during a stream, Shroud explained that the key to reaching the highest rank is to climb with multiple accounts.

“If you have a bad string of teammates, you lose. If you have a good string of teammates, you win. So if you’re on a bad string, you’re going to derank. If you’re on a good string, you’re going to climb like crazy.”

With that in mind, he added: “So you just keep making more accounts, and one of those accounts will eventually get there.”

This practice has long been known in the Overwatch 2 community, and it’s clear that it has made its way to Marvel Rivals as well, as many alt accounts are found in high ranks.

To many players, alt accounts aren’t just for warming up or learning a hero without risking their main account’s rank – but they’re also a getaway for when they start getting bad matchmaking. Or, in other words, ‘bad luck.’

He added: “Every single person does this. Every single person at the top, like, 100, does this.”

Of course, in order to climb, regardless of your rank, you’ll also need to improve your overall game sense and aim to bring value to the team.
