Best Destiny 2 Keen Thistle god roll for PvE & PvP in Episode Heresy

Non-Exotic Sniper Rifles have struggled to find a place in Destiny 2’s meta for several seasons, but if one weapon’s going to change those fortunes, it’s Keen Thistle.

The Aggressive Frame marksman rifle was added as a new Trials of Osiris reward in Episode Heresy and it has an absolutely stacked perk pool for PvP. Geared towards use in the Crucible it may be, but don’t sleep on Keen Thistle in PvE – it has a surprisingly viable roll for single-target DPS.

As of Trials of Osiris’ return on March 8, the Adept version of Keen Thistle is now obtainable. While naturally better than the standard version due to having access to Adept Mods, any copy of the weapon with the below rolls is worthy of a spot in your Vault.

Keen Thistle PvE & PvP god rolls – Meta analysis

PVP God Roll PVE God Roll

While Lone Wolf, Opening Shot, and Moving Target are all excellent perk choices for Sniper Rifles in PvP and appear in Keen Thistle’s perk pool, Snapshot Sights and Closing Time is the all-round best combo.

Snapshot Sights’ massive buff to ADS remains one of the most important attributes for the weapon archetype in competitive environments. Likewise, Closing Time’s always-active buffs to range, Handling, and Accuracy on Special weapons is just too good to pass up in favor of Moving Target or Opening Shot.

For PvE, the tried-and-true combo of Envious Assassin and Bait and Switch makes Keen Thistle a surprisingly good back-up DPS option in situations when you get low on Heavy ammo, able to take down chunkier enemies with just a few rounds when the latter perk’s damage boost is procced.

That’s everything you need to know about Keen Thistle’s best rolls, but it’s far from the only Trials of Osiris weapon worth farming in Heresy. Check out the god rolls for Exalted Truth and Aisha’s Care you should be farming for whenever Saint-14 visits the Tower.
